Thank a Teacher or Celebrate a Student with Legacy Bricks

Leave your mark on the school you love with a commemorative brick celebrating your student, family, a beloved teacher, an alum, a super-volunteer, a business or even yourself! Legacy Bricks are especially popular with kindergarten families to kick off their Wiley connection and 5th grade families to honor their graduates' achievements. Bricks are installed along the school's main entrance walkway.

Foundation’s “Big Check” for 2024-25 Is Now $9k Bigger

The Wiley Foundation will present our administration with a check for over $32,200 to supplement key areas of teacher and staff pay in 2024-25. This updated contribution amount is $9,100 more than announced at International Night. Funds will supplement three areas: Friday electives, magnet program management, and now AIG (Academically or Intellectually Gifted program).

Working closely with Principal Avery this spring, the Foundation Board moved quickly to support our school when WCPSS applied a new funding formula that resulted in cutting Wiley’s AIG teacher staffing by 50%. This cut impacts not only AIG students and teachers, but may also impact homeroom teachers as they instruct a wider range of academic levels. While these additional funds don’t completely bridge the gap, they do add more time for our AIG teacher to spend with students. Your contributions and support help fund critical resources needed to continue Wiley excellence. Thank you!

In the summer of 2020, the Wiley Foundation produced this beautiful portrait of our school's past and future.

It features touching memories from Robert L. McMillan (Wiley Student 1929-1935) and inspiring insights about what makes Wiley so special from Leslie Taylor (Past Principal).

As the world grappled with a pandemic that kept us apart, Wiley's resilience and commitment to its teachers and students stood strong, as it has for generations.
